Welcome to ISKCON Fredericton, a peaceful and welcoming community dedicated to the practice of Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion to Lord Krishna. We are part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a global movement founded by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, dedicated to spreading the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad-gita and the practice of devotional service.
At ISKCON Fredericton, we focus on cultivating a space where people of all backgrounds can come together to chant the holy names of Krishna, celebrate the festivals of Lord Krishna, and share in the joy of satsang (spiritual association). Our goal is to foster a community of love, compassion, and spiritual growth, where we can all deepen our connection to Krishna and support each other on our spiritual journeys.
Our Mission
At ISKCON Fredericton, our mission is to promote spiritual well-being through the simple yet powerful practice of Bhakti Yoga—devotion through chanting, service, and celebration. We support the communities in Saint John and Moncton by assisting with their events and festivals and working together to spread Krishna Consciousness throughout the province.
Our Practices
Every Saturday evening, we gather at Geeta Bhawan for our Kirtan program—a lively and heartfelt experience of chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Kirtan is a core practice of Bhakti Yoga and provides an opportunity for anyone to experience the transformative power of devotional chanting. It's a time of inner peace, joy, and connection, open to all, regardless of spiritual background or experience.
In addition to our weekly Kirtans, we celebrate significant events from the life of Lord Krishna through the ISKCON festivals. Among the festivals we celebrate are Janmashtami (the appearance day of Lord Krishna) and Govardhan Puja (celebrating Krishna’s lifting of the Govardhan Hill). During Govardhan Puja, we honor Krishna's protection of His devotees with offerings and prayers, and we celebrate with community feasts of prasadam (food offered to Krishna).
Though our center in Fredericton is relatively small, we play an essential role in supporting the other ISKCON centers in Saint John and Moncton. We assist with organizing and supporting their events and festivals, sharing resources and serving together as one family of devotees.

The Fredericton center operates under the loving guidance of His Holiness Bhakti Marg Swami Maharaj, a senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada. Maharaj’s teachings inspire us to live with humility, compassion, and a deep sense of service to others.
We are also proud to support and collaborate with the communities in Saint John and Moncton. Together, we strive to spread Krishna’s love and wisdom through our collective activities, festivals, and programs, enriching the spiritual lives of everyone involved.
